Do I need to pay to come to an open lecture?
No, all of our talks are free of charge and open to all.
How long will the lecture last/what time will it finish?
All open lectures last for approximately one hour, unless otherwise stated.
Where can I park, and do I have to pay?
Parking at the University is free of charge after 6pm and at weekends.
I don’t know the University campus, how do I find the venue?
You can find building locations on our .
Do I need to book to come to a lecture?
Most of our events are ticketed. To book there is a pink button on the web page for the event. For events that are not ticketed just turn up on the night – these lectures are first-come, first-served.
A ticketed event I want to come to is showing as ‘sold out’. Can I turn up on the night?
Yes you can. Although we can’t guarantee that you’ll get a seat we do often have spaces left by people who have booked tickets not turning up, and we allocate those empty seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
Do I need to print my ticket?/I don’t have access to a printer
We much prefer attendees to bring their printed tickets, wherever possible, or to have the Eventbrite app on their smartphone to show their tickets on the door. However, if you don’t have a printer we do have a list of booked attendees on the door and you can just give your name.
