Langwith College
Welcome to Langwith College!
Named after nearby Langwith Common, we鈥檙e one of York鈥檚 founding colleges, yet our old spirit is as youthful as ever! Our college was opened by Queen Elizabeth the II in 1965 and we even played host to Jimi Hendrix two years later. We鈥檝e since moved to Campus East.
Our college motto is 鈥�Vincit qui se vincit鈥� - 鈥業n order conquer you must first conquer yourself鈥�. We鈥檙e here to help our more than 600 resident students and over 1,000 college members do just that; by expanding their knowledge, growing their skills and empowering our community to become the best that it can be.
